BECAUSE IT IS FINISHED… you have the freedom to approach God just as you are. As Scripture states, “So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most” (Hebrews 4:16). There’s no requirement to change your behavior or ascend a religious hierarchy to gain His love and acceptance.
BECAUSE IT IS FINISHED… God’s dedication to you is unwavering and everlasting. “Nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow” (Romans 8:38). Your mistakes from the past, present, and future cannot push Him away or lessen His love for you.
BECAUSE IT IS FINISHED… your forgiveness is absolute and everlasting. “He has removed our sins as far from us as the east is from the west” (Psalm 103:12). Every sin – past, present, and future – has been wiped from God’s memory. He no longer remembers the sins that continue to trouble you.
BECAUSE IT IS FINISHED… your identity is firmly grounded in God’s love. “See how very much our Father loves us, for he calls us his children, and that is what we are!” (1 John 3:1). Your value is not based on your successes or mistakes, your strengths or shortcomings. You are a deeply cherished child of God.
BECAUSE IT IS FINISHED… you no longer need to seek validation from others. “What matters is what God thinks of me” (1 Corinthians 4:3). The only acceptance that truly matters is already yours through Christ.
BECAUSE IT IS FINISHED… you can be in God’s presence without needing to pretend or perform. “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28). You can fully relax, assured of unconditional love.
BECAUSE IT IS FINISHED… you are free to be genuinely human. “The Spirit helps us in our weakness” (Romans 8:26). Your genuine emotions, challenges, and sincere expressions do not jeopardize or lessen God’s love for you.
BECAUSE IT IS FINISHED… God’s hold on you remains firm, even when your own hold weakens. “I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch them away from me” (John 10:28). His faithfulness is not contingent on yours.
BECAUSE IT IS FINISHED… your brokenness draws God nearer instead of pushing Him away. “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed” (Psalm 34:18). What might cause others to distance themselves brings Him closer.
BECAUSE IT IS FINISHED… you have been liberated to live genuinely. “So Christ has truly set us free. Now make sure that you stay free, and don’t get tied up again in slavery to the law” (Galatians 5:1). This freedom is neither conditional nor complex—it’s absolute. You are free to live life to the fullest, to feel intensely, to explore courageously, to rest without guilt, to worship in spirit and truth, and to relish in God’s limitless love. Whether you’re studying Scripture or unwinding at home, working hard or taking a pause, attending church or enjoying coffee with friends, crying out in sorrow or dancing with joy, you are living in the freedom Christ has provided. No strings attached, no fine print, no conditions to fulfill. Just pure, liberating grace to be the person God created you to be, enveloped in His unconditional love.
About the Author — Bruce Mitchell
Meet Bruce Mitchell — a pastor, Bible teacher, writer, and lifelong student of God’s grace. For decades, Bruce has walked with people through seasons of joy, sorrow, loss, and renewal, offering the kind of wisdom that only grows in the trenches of real ministry. His calling is simple and profound: to help others experience the transforming love of God in their everyday lives.
The Path That Led Me Here
My journey began as a young believer full of questions and longing for truth. Over time, God shaped those questions into a calling. My studies at Biola University and Dallas Theological Seminary gave me a strong theological foundation, but the deepest lessons came from walking beside people in their real struggles — where faith is tested, refined, and made authentic.
The birth of Agapao Allelon Ministries was not merely the launch of an organization. It was the fulfillment of a calling God had been cultivating in my heart for years. Agapao Allelon — “to love one another” — captures the very heartbeat of the Christian life. Jesus said, “By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another” (John 13:35). That wasn’t a suggestion. It was the defining mark of genuine faith.
Discovering the Heart of Scripture
One question has shaped my ministry more than any other: What does it truly mean to know God?
I found the answer in 1 John 4:7–8 — the reminder that love is not merely something God does; it is who He is. The fruit of the Spirit is ultimately the fruit of divine love, expressed through joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self‑control.
Through my writing at Allelon.us, I explore these truths in ways that connect Scripture to the real challenges of modern life. Each article invites readers to go deeper — not just into theology, but into the lived experience of God’s love.
Living Out 1 Peter 4:8
“Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.”
This verse has become the guiding mission of my life. I’ve witnessed how unconditional love softens hardened hearts, restores broken relationships, and brings healing where nothing else could.
Why don’t we see this love more often in our churches and communities? Because loving like Jesus requires courage. It asks us to step beyond comfort, extend grace when it’s costly, and forgive when it feels impossible. Yet the power of unconditional love — and the comfort of unconditional forgiveness — can transform not only our relationships but the world around us.
From Personal Pain to Purpose
My journey has not been without wounds. I’ve known seasons of doubt, disappointment, and failure. But those valleys have deepened my empathy and strengthened my conviction that God’s grace is sufficient in every weakness.
Today, Grace through Faith means resting in the truth that we are saved not by performance, but by God’s unearned favor. That freedom fuels my passion for teaching, writing, speaking, and podcasting — not out of obligation, but out of gratitude.
The Ministry of Loving One Another
Loving others isn’t limited to those who are easy to love. Scripture calls us to love even our enemies — a command that is simple in its clarity yet challenging in its practice.
At Agapao Allelon Ministries, we seek to weave God’s love into the fabric of everyday life through Bible studies, community outreach, and practical resources that equip believers to live out the call to love one another.
An Invitation to the Journey
My prayer is that your life overflows with love, joy, and peace — that patience, kindness, and goodness take root in your relationships, and that faithfulness, gentleness, and self‑control shape your daily walk.
I invite you to join me at Allelon.us as we explore Scripture together, wrestle with deep questions, and discover what it truly means to love as Christ loved us. When God’s love flows freely through us, we become agents of transformation in a world longing for something real.
What part of your faith journey is God inviting you to explore next? How might He be calling you to express His love in new ways? I would be honored to walk with you as you discover the answers.
