The Path That Led Me Here
I’ve often reflected on how God’s grace has guided my journey. I started as a young believer with questions. Now, I am a Pastor committed to sharing His message of love. My educational foundation at Biola University and Dallas Theological Seminary equipped me with theological knowledge. However, I’ve truly learned what it means to embody Christ’s love in the trenches of ministry. This understanding came from walking alongside people in their joys and sorrows.
The establishment of Agapao Allelon Ministries wasn’t just the founding of an organization. It answered a calling that had been growing in my heart for years. The name itself is drawn from the Greek words meaning “to love one another.” This captures the essence of what I believe Christianity is all about. Jesus said, “By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another” (John 13:35). He wasn’t offering a suggestion. He was revealing the very DNA of authentic faith.
Discovering the Heart of Scripture
What does it mean to truly know God? This question has driven my theological exploration and ministry approach. I’ve found the answer in 1 John 4:7-8. “Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God. Whoever loves has been born of God and knows God.” Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love.
We, as humans, often get stuck in our own narrow-mindedness when it comes to understanding the love of God. We tend to view it through our limited human experience, but His love transcends our comprehension. The fruit of the Spirit is a single fruit of divine love. The other eight items show how the fruit of love is portrayed through us to the world.
My writing at Allelon.us aims to unpack these profound truths in ways that connect with everyday life. Each article invites you to journey deeper into God’s word. It helps you discover how its timeless wisdom applies to our modern challenges.
Living Out 1 Peter 4:8
“Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.” This verse from 1 Peter has been more than a favorite Scripture—it’s become my life’s mission. I’ve witnessed firsthand how unconditional love can transform the hardest hearts and heal the deepest wounds.
Why then, don’t we experience unconditional love more fully in our churches and communities? Perhaps because truly loving as Jesus loved requires us to move beyond our comfort zones. It demands us to extend grace when it’s difficult and forgive when it seems impossible.
The incredible power of Unconditional Love and the incredible comfort of Unconditional Forgiveness are more than just theological concepts. They are life-altering realities. These concepts can revolutionize our relationships and our world.
From Personal Pain to Purpose
My path hasn’t been without struggles. There have been seasons of doubt, moments of failure, and periods of questioning. It can be difficult to believe when you’ve experienced pain, hurt or disappointment in the past. Yet these challenges have deepened my empathy and strengthened my conviction that God’s grace is sufficient in our weakness.
What does Grace through Faith mean to me today? It means embracing the liberating truth that we are saved not by our religious performance but by God’s unmerited favor. This understanding has freed me to serve not from obligation but from gratitude. I am passionate about sharing this message through my teaching, speaking, writing, and podcasting.
The Ministry of Loving One Another
Loving others doesn’t just mean loving those who are easy to love. It also means loving those who are the hardest to love. This may come as a surprise. Loving your enemy is actually one of the more straightforward commands from the Bible. It is straightforward in its clarity, though challenging in its application.
At Agapao Allelon Ministries, we actively weave God’s love into society. We achieve this through tangible acts of compassion and service. Our initiatives include Bible studies and community outreach. We provide resources to equip believers to live out the principle of Loving One Another in their everyday interactions.
An Invitation to Join the Journey
May we be encouraged to live lives that are full of love, joy, and peace. Let us seek patience, kindness, and goodness. May we show faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. May we remember the beauty of the love of God. Let us understand how we can experience it in our lives.
I invite you to join me in this ongoing exploration of God’s Word and its application to our lives. At Allelon.us, you’ll find daily reflections on Scripture, deeper dives into theological concepts, and practical guidance for Christian living. Together, we can discover what it truly means to love one another as Christ has loved us.
Feel the Joyful Flow of God’s Love in your life, and let it overflow to those around you. When we love as Jesus commanded, we transform ourselves. We become agents of transformation in a world desperate for authentic love.
What area of your faith journey are you currently exploring? How might God be calling you to express His love to others in new ways? I’d love to hear your story and walk alongside you in this beautiful journey of faith.
