The Beautiful Burden of Obedience
Jesus gave commands with no exception clause: love one another, forgive seventy times seven, honor your father and mother, bless those who curse you. The world calls them naive. Around a fire, Peter asked how many times was enough, and Jesus answered with a single word. These are the beautiful burdens that form us into Christ, along with what they do, and do not, ask of the wounded.
