2. Study the Example of Barnabas
Explore the life of Barnabas, known as the “son of encouragement” in the early church. Learn from his conviction, his desire to see the church flourish, and his willingness to do all he could to make it happen (Acts 4:36; Acts ch. 4-15). Ask God to cultivate a heart like Barnabas within yourself and your church community.
3. Make Encouragement a Daily Discipline
Create a daily reminder to reach out to someone with an encouraging note, email, text, or phone call. Pause, pray, and intentionally seek to spur someone on in their faith. Remember that encouragement should not be occasional but a consistent practice (1 Thessalonians 5:11).
